Welcome Ashleigh!

At Korus Connect, we are passionate about investing in the next generation of Christian leaders — and our partnership with Christian Ministry Advancement (CMA) through The Board Internship (TBI) Program continues to be a powerful vehicle for doing just that.

We recently welcomed the 2025/2026 cohort, with 17 talented interns from across the country beginning their journey in board governance, strategic leadership, and faith-based service.

We’re especially delighted to introduce our own Korus Connect intern, Ashleigh Dowling, a dedicated lawyer and active church member, who brings wisdom, humility, and a servant heart to her internship. Ashleigh is being mentored by Jorg Selhorst, one of our valued Board Members, and we look forward to seeing their relationship flourish as they navigate board life together.

We’ve already received encouraging feedback from Interns and Mentors alike. One Intern recently shared how the program has opened their eyes to “the spiritual responsibility that comes with board leadership — and how faith, prayer, and accountability are central, not optional.” Another Mentor reflected, “It’s a joy to invest in someone’s leadership potential and see them grow in confidence and clarity about their calling.”

Congratulations Andrew!

We were also thrilled to learn that Andrew Pfeiffer, our 2023/2024 Korus Connect Board Intern, was awarded a Public Service Medal as part of the King’s Birthday Honours. Andrew’s work in advancing neurodiversity inclusion across the Australian Public Service has been truly remarkable — from co-founding major networks to influencing national policy.

Under the mentorship of our Deputy Board Chair, Peter Rawlings, Andrew’s time in the TBI program helped sharpen his vision and prepare him for greater impact. His story is a wonderful example of the fruit that grows when we invest in emerging leaders. We are delighted to have been part of Andrew’s leadership journey and inspired by the impact he continues to make.

His recognition is well deserved and a powerful reminder of the transformative influence of purpose-driven leadership. Congratulations, Andrew!

Please continue to uphold our interns, mentors, and host boards in prayer as we walk this journey together. The seeds we sow now are shaping the boards — and the leaders — of tomorrow.
